PINNED TO THE WALL

The residents

Four chairs, four very different hands. Pick the artist whose work you already like. That is the whole trick to a good tattoo.

WORD FROM A REGULAR

Three cities, nine tattoos. The last four all came from this room. You wait for your slot, and Mara draws the thing you couldn’t describe. The wait is part of it.

READ BEFORE YOU SIT

Shop rules and aftercare

The noticeboard, typed up. Most questions people call about are answered right here.

Walk-ins

Friday and Saturday, noon to 6. Flash only, first come. The list opens at noon, in person, no phone holds.

Bring ID

State or federal photo ID, every visit, no matter how familiar your face is. Oregon law.

18 plus

No exceptions, with or without a parent. Come back on the birthday, we will be here.

Deposits

$100 holds your date and comes off the final total. Inside 48 hours of the appointment it stays with your artist.

Days 1 to 3

Leave the wrap on as long as your artist said. Wash with unscented soap, pat dry, thin layer of ointment. Thin means thin.

Weeks 1 to 2

It will itch. No scratching, no picking, no pools, no river floats, and keep it out of the sun.

Numbing cream

Ask your artist before you buy anything. Half the products out there wreck the skin surface, and the linework with it.

Rain math

Yes, we are open when it pours, which is most of November through May. Fresh ink heals better in a Portland winter than an August heat wave anyway.

Walk in Friday. Or book it proper.
